Joseyeh (high sec)

Another high sec exit. I don't recall there being so many in such a short time, but they don't last very long and I am being more consistent in scanning 'em down ...

Joseyeh is a 0.7 system in region Doman. It is a dead-end system. Two jumps away are two isolated low sec systems, with a lone high sec (0.5) on the other side, an interesting little dead-end triangle. I wouldn't mind checking it out but this exit was already reaching its end when I found it, so who knows when it will collapse.

Hasama (region The Citadel)

Hasama is 0.3 system in region The Citadel. It is two jumps from high sec and six jumps from Jita! Can you say market run? Figures on the same night I get an exit close to Jita that I would also get one close to my corp headquarters. In the low sec system towards Jita in system Mara there was a gate camp. Based on the comments in local it was a bit of a fail.

Hasama is part of factional warfare. No sites were triggered. I did not scan.

Zimmem is a 0.5 system in region Kador. It has no stations. It borders low sec. It is 11 jumps from Hirizan, thru low sec, where my Corp headquarters is. I made a run in a couple of blockade runners and hauled in some Industrial Fibers (the only PI item I can't harvest in my wormhole), and some mats for making fuel blocks.

I scanned Zimmem and found no sites. No one joined me in local for the 20 minutes I was in system.

Sassecho (region Khanid)

Sassecho is a 0.1 system in region Khanid. It has no stations and is 10 jumps from high sec in two different directions. Sassecho is in a cluster of six systems that are off of a pipe.

I scanned 5 of the 6 systems. Seems to me it is routinely scanned, even ran into one goof who was scanning. I found 1 mag (Decayed Blood Raider Mass Grave), 1 plex (Rogue Trial Yard), and 4 grav (Large Dark Ochre and Gneiss Deposit, Large Gneiss Deposit, Small Spodumain, Crokite and Dark Ochre Deposit, Small Crokite, Dark Ochre and Gneiss)

Zephan (region Khanid)

My first repeat! I was in Zephan 7 days ago. Still the same 0.3 system in region Khanid.

No sites here, but in the dead-end system next door (Neda) I found 4 radar (2 Regional Blood Raider Mainframe, Regional Blood Raider Data Processing Center, Regional Blood Raider Command Center) and 2 mag (Ransacked Blood Raider Abandoned Station, Decayed Blood Raider Excavation).

While I was working them some pilots kept coming in and out the system. I had an alt on the gate and they weren't coming that way. I chatted one of them up. They were trying to pop their wormhole exit because Neda is out in the boonies!

Yelk (region Aridia)

Yekh, in region Aridia, is a 0.1 system. No stations. It is a dead-end system off a dead-end triangle, which is itself in a collection of 13 systems that are off of a single entry point: system Kamih. Kinda wish I had time to scan the whole area. Yekh is 11 jumps from high sec, not counting a few high sec pockets.

These 13 systems should be a landmark: The Baker's Dozen.

I scanned only on Yekh and found 1 grav site (Average Spodumain, Crokite and Dark Ochre).

Wormhole Update: Customs Offices

Boom.
I finally popped the nine interbus customs offices in my wormhole. I could muster only two ships (Naga and Oracle) and it took 3 hours to pop each. I would undertake the effort if the only exit was to low sec. If there was an exit to another unknown system then I would not take the chance of being noticed and jumped by a gang.

With the variety of planets in system we can harvest everything except autotrophs (no Temperate planet). We haul in Industrial Fibers and make all 8 advanced PI items, plus mats for fuel blocks.

I am sure I could have absorbed the much higher taxes, but I didn't want to! I just couldn't agree to pay 2 million for something that used to cost 20K. So, I stockpiled the PI advanced items and built my own custom offices. And finally I got the suckers in place so I guess I add PI back to my to-do list.

Elunala (region Black Rise) is a 0.3 system three jumps from high sec. No stations. Part of factional warfare; the sites were triggered but the system was empty most of the time. Elunala is just off a pipe, one corner of a triangle. I did not scan.

Zephan is a 0.3 system in region Khanid. It is 12 jumps from high in two different directions. Zephan is a along a route to null sec. There is a dead-end system off of Zephan, and another just jumps away. It has one station.

I scanned Zephan and the dead-end next door (system Neda). I found 3 plexes (Blood Raider Outpost, Provisional Blood Outpost, and Rogue Trial Yard), and 1 radar (Regional Blood Raider Data Mining Site).

Nouta (region Aridia)

Nouta is a 0.3 system in region Aridia. It is way out there, just off a pipe that leads to null sec region Fountain. Nouta has no stations and is the first in a two-system dead-end off the pipe. I didn't expect to run in into anyone in these two systems ... and I stand corrected. There was one in local in Ned. Along with a site beacon for a Forgotten Amarr Outpost.

I scanned Nouta and found no sites.

Odette (high sec exit)

An exit to high sec! Odette is a 0.5 system in region Sinq Laison. It is not too far from The Myridian Strip. Not too long ago I was Lamaa (0.4), which is on the other side of that pipe. Odette borders low sec, including a medium length jump to region Heimatar. There was only a handful in local when I was there.

Odette has one station and two site beacons: Serpentis Drug Outlet and Deserted Gallente Outpost. For grins I worked the Deserted Gallente Outpost. Popped 8 rats. Nothing mentionable in the loot and salvage.

Oguser (region Kor-Azor)

Oguser (region Kor-Azor) is a 0.2 system two jumps from high sec. It has no stations. It is part of a choke point leading into low sec, and it does have a pirate/pvp presence. I don't keep track of planet types but Oguser has 4 temperate planets. Seems like alot. It also has 2 barren, 2 gas, 2 lava, and 1 storm. A nice mix if you are into PI.

Mormelot (region Everyshore)

Mormelot in region Everyshore is a 0.2 system and is 3 jumps from high sec. The system has one station and is involved in factional warfare. Mormelot is at the apex of a long distance top/bottom jump to system Schoogasana (region Sinq Laison). Three jumps in the opposite direction is another long distance top/bottom jump between Angatalie and Lermireve (region Sinq Laison). And those two Sinq Laison systems are no where near each other. Each of those top/bottom runs leads to another with destinations in regions Essence and The Bleak Lands. For a low sec crossroads these wasn't much traffic. 

I scanned just in system Mormelot and found one plex (Rogue Trial Yard).

Sirekur is a 0.3 system in region Metropolis, It is 5 jumps from high sec, but in three other directions each is 6 jumps from high sec. Sirekur has one station and is part of factional warfare. The system is in a tight cluster of many low sec systems, the area is full of connecting jumps on the starmap that look like contiguous triangles. I did not scan.

Carard (region Genesis)

Canard is a 0.3 system in region Genesis, 8 jumps from high sec, and only three jumps from system New Eden, home of Eve Gate, the entry point of humans into this galaxy. I visited this area before and while the first few low systems (nearest high sec) are populated (especially system Antem), the system closer to New Eden are usually empty. This because it is dead-end, and there are no stations (one of the systems is even named Dead End).

I scanned six systems and found nine plexes (2 Rogue Trial Yards, 2 Rogue Drone Asteroid Infestations, 2 Outgrowth Rogue Drone Hives, 2 Minor Blood Annex, and a Crimson Hand Supply Depot), six grav sites (Small Spodumain, Crokite, and Dark Ochre, Small Crokite, Dark Ochre and Gneiss, Large Crokite, Dark Ochre and Gneiss, and 2 grav sites I could not scan down in my non-cov op with no scan rigs), and three radar (2 Regional Blood Raider Data Fortress, and a Regional Blood Raider Command Center).

Avionen (region Black Rise)

Avionen, in region Black Rise, is a 0.4 system two jumps from high sec. It has one station and is along a short pipe, but there is an alternate route. A small amount of thru traffic, no one stuck around. Avionen is part of factional warfare. When I visited there were no sites triggered.

Never noticed why this region is named Black Rise; it is because the region is "sunken" below the plane and the system-less area above is a "black rise."

I scanned only in Aivonen and found only a Guristas Annex.

Tastela (region Domain)

Tastela is a 0.4 system in region Doman, two jumps from high sec. Technically, just one jump from high sec but that system is a dead-end; a lone high sec system three jumps from the rest of high sec. The entire area is basically a dead-end triangle with four low sec systems, and one of those is separated from the other three by a high sec system. Tastela has no stations.

I scanned only in Tastella and found an Average Crokite, Dark Ochre and Gneiss, 3 mag sites (Decayed Sansha Collision Site, Decayed Sansha Excavation, and Decayed Sansha Particle Accelerator), and 1 radar (Regional Sansha Mainframe). Of course, I worked the mag and radar sites.

Gerper is a 0.4 system in region Everyshore, two jumps from high sec. It has 5 stations, and a beacon for a Serpentis Drug Outlet (DED 1). Gerper is the dead-end system in a two system cul-de-sac. System Mya is the entry point and it had a small pirate presence.

I scanned only in Gerber and found an Average Spodumain, Crokite and Dark Ochre, a Minor Serpentis Annex, and a Mag site (Ransacked Serpentis Explosive Debris), which, of course, I worked. Thought about working the Annex but did not have the time.

Lamaa (region The Bleak Lands)

Lamaa is a 0.4 system in region The Bleak Lands, two jumps from high sec. It is pretty much at the center of the galaxy. Lamaa is part of The Myridian Strip, a series of systems that connects The Bleak Lands to region Heimatar. There are two pipes connecting the two regions and The Myridian Strip is the "upper pipe", to which Lamaa is a choke-point. Some through traffic but surprisingly no constant presense in local. Could be an off day.

Lamaa is involved in factional warfare; under Amarr control when I visted. All of the outposts had been scanned (10 of them) but no one was working them.

I scanned only Lamaa and it had just the one sig, the wormhole I came through.

Tukanas (region Aridia)

Tukanas (region Aridia) is a 0.1 system nine jumps from high sec. However, there are a couple of high sec pockets that are closer. It is just off The Cauldron and Trace Cosmos. It is one in a collection of eight systems that are off the beaten path, with a single entry point, so no through traffic.
Tukanas has one station and four star gates, which interestingly are all within about 100,000km of each other.

The area seems to be regularly scanned, as there were not many sites. I explored Tukanas and seven other systems in the cul-de-sac. I found two grav sites (Average and Large Dark Ochre and Gneiss), three ladar sites (Wild Nebula and Blackeye Nebula, both Malachite Mykoserocin. And a Crimson Nebula, Malachite Cytosercin, which I harvested), one plex (Provisional Blood Outpost), and one mag (Ransacked Blood Raider Ship Remnants, which I worked).

Generally there was little traffic, save for two systems. System Fageras had 20 in local, and system Sheri had 8 in local.

Enter Wormhole: A Little Background

Howdy. I have been living in a wormhole since July 2010. I have a static low security exit that cycles every 24 hours. It is my intent to chronicle the different low sec systems to which my system connects, and the odd null and high sec, too. But first, a little background.

I became a pilot on April 17, 2007. After the initial tutorials I began system hopping. Carrying all of my assets with me and going from system to system running missions. I stumbled across Jita (region The Forge) and immediately recognized the commercial possibilities. I set up shop in Iyen-Ousta (region Sinq Laison), just a few jumps from Jita. I was mining in my Bantam, chatting up in local, and ratting. I even got popped in Rancer!

Someone I met passing through Iyen-Ousta led to my first corporation. I joined MBT-Interstellar, headquartered in Sigga (region Genesis). MBT was a small corp. Most pilots did their own thing, just having someone to visit with in chat, but we did have mining ops with a corp ore/mineral purchase program, and some level 4 mission running.

I decided to check out manufacturing and bought some mod blueprints and scouted out a location that had good ore and open manufacturing slots. I settled in Bahromab (region Domain). By this time I was in a Retriever.

After a month or so in MBT a corp-mate showed me how to find cosmic anomalies with the on-board scanner. My career in exploration was set in motion! I began working anamolies in high and low sec, and trained for cov ops and exploration. I setup up shop in Menri (region Kador). I trained to not only explore but to be able to work all sites; combat plus mining. In no time I was exploring low sec and running radar and mag sites, working complexes and dungeons, and mining hidden belts.

I travelled around and scouted out other low sec areas, carrying everything I needed in my Bustard. I was also trading. Placing region-wide buy orders in many different regions for certain named T-1 mods, and selling them in Jita. This afforded me the opportunity to scout low sec areas as I travelled far and wide in a destroyer collecting my mods.

I was inspired to accomplish two goals.  1) I want to be able to fly (and own) as many ships as possible, all races. 2) I would set up four exploration bases, one for each race. Each base would be in that race’s space and the ships stationed there would also be of that same race. I am in no hurry to accomplish either of these goals, but I am moving slowly towards success.

In May 2009, after two years in MBT, I joined a mid-sized corporation called Trade Consortium. At the time they were setup in null sec, system ZLZ-1Z (region Vale of the Silent ). By this time I had added gas harvesting and the newly introduced wormholes to my skill set. After a short stay in ZLZ, we had two separate stints in another 0.0 system, Z-RFZ3 (region Providence). After just over a year in TC I decided to venture out on my own.

I formed Coronado’s Cross with the intent of moving into a wormhole. After a few weeks of scanning I found a suitable class 1 wormhole, just enough for a small corp, and we moved on in. And here I am.

Now, let the wormhole travelling begin!
